1884 Queen Victoria Silver Halfcrown
Young Head – ESC 712 – CGS 78 (Choice About Uncirculated)
A superb example of the 1884 Halfcrown featuring the Young Head portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, hair tied in a neat bun. The portrait retains excellent definition with strong detail in the hair strands, ear, and neckline.
The obverse fields show attractive light toning with good underlying lustre remaining.
The reverse displays the crowned quartered shield within a wreath, sharply struck with clear definition in the harp strings, lions, and crown jewels.
Graded CGS 78 by Coin Grading Service UK — equivalent to a strong AU / near-UNC by traditional standards.
A very eye-appealing Victorian type coin in high grade.
