🪙 1887 Great Britain 4 Shillings (Double Florin) – Arabic “1” in Date
Grade: NGC AU Details – Reverse Cleaned
Variety: Arabic “1” date (scarcer collectable variety)
A classic large Victorian silver issue from the Golden Jubilee year of Queen Victoria, this 1887 Double Florin is a standout piece for any UK type specialist. Struck in sterling silver (.925), the 4-shilling denomination was only issued for a few years and today has strong collector interest — especially in the Arabic “1” in date variety.
