1893 LVI Crown – NGC MS62
Queen Victoria – Veiled Head
A superb Mint State example of the 1893 LVI Crown, graded MS62 by NGC.
The obverse features the mature veiled portrait of Queen Victoria, struck with excellent detail throughout the hair, veil and facial features. The fields retain original mint lustre, with only the expected contact marks consistent with the assigned grade.
The reverse displays Benedetto Pistrucci’s iconic St George and the Dragon design, sharply struck with strong definition in the horse, rider and dragon. A classic late-Victorian crown in true uncirculated condition.
Edge: DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI LVI
An increasingly difficult issue to locate in certified Mint State, particularly with eye appeal.
A solid cabinet piece and ideal for the advanced Victorian crown collector or registry builder.
Grade: NGC MS62
Certification Number: 6673855-001
