Shield quadrants represent members of the
United Kingdom: 3 lions for England, 1 lion
for Scotland, and a harp for Ireland.
This design is surrounded by a legend
reading 'FID: DEF: IND: IMP:' above, and the
date below between 'HALF' and 'CROWN'.
