The obverse features the bare head of King George V facing left, designed by Bertram Mackennal, with the legend GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX. The reverse displays the crowned quartered shield of the United Kingdom within the Garter, dated 1912 below, with the inscription FID DEF IND IMP.
Struck in .925 sterling silver at the Royal Mint.
