1845/3 Queen Victoria Silver Half Crown – Young Head – Overdate Variety – GVF
A pleasing example of the sought-after 1845/3 overdate half crown. The final digit in the date shows clear remnants of an underlying “3” beneath the “5”, a recognised Victorian variety caused by die re-punching.
Obverse: Young laureate head of Victoria left.
Reverse: Crowned quartered shield within wreath.
Attractive original tone with even circulation wear. A solid Very Fine example of this collectable variety.
